How does Plato use my data?
Plato takes data privacy and security seriously. We do not use your data or content to train language models. All data is securely stored and processed within the UK/EU to comply with stringent data protection regulations. This ensures that your student and institution’s information remains safe and confidential.
How does Plato reduce the risk of ‘hallucinations’?
To minimise AI inaccuracies, Plato uses course materials to generate responses and provides sources for reference. Students are informed that the responses are AI-generated and encouraged to treat them as supplementary tools, not absolute answers.
What languages can Plato be used in?
Plato is designed to support multiple languages, supporting over 30 languages. This multilingual capability breaks down language barriers in education and ensures that students from diverse linguistic backgrounds can access and benefit from Plato's features.
How do users access Plato?
Users can easily access Plato through a web browser. It can be used as a standalone tab or integrated into a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) such as Blackboard Learn, Canvas or Moodle, providing flexibility and convenience for students and educators alike.
Can Plato be integrated with other systems aside from the VLE?
Yes, Plato's versatility extends beyond VLE integration. It can also be integrated with various other systems, such as module recording platforms such as Panopto or MediaSite and discussion forums such as Microsoft Teams.
What VLE content is accessible to Plato?
Plato can only access the files which are also accessible to the students. This ensures Plato does not have access to files ahead of time, eliminating the risk of Plato providing information on content not yet available to students.
